Apologies it’s been so long since I posted a blog post. There is a pretty good reason though…..me and Thomas have written a cook book!
After months of writing, re-writing, testing, shooting and eating, we are so very excited to be opening up our cookbook for pre-orders today! We have really missed cooking for people during the past year of lockdown and writing this book has been a bit of a substitute; we’ve been fortunate enough to have time on our hands to do so.
Recipes in the book are diverse, taking inspiration from across the global cuisine spectrum, and are packed with the bold and interesting flavours that we both love. Fresh vegetables play a key part in a lot of our dishes and many recipes are vegan, though determined carnivores will find something in there for them too. Mushrooms and potatoes even have their own sections! A section on our ‘Currrython’ (a 48-hour post-Christmas open house curry feast for family and friends), is included, as well as a section on The Messy Cook’s Supper Clubs. I’ve really enjoyed being creative and having fun with the food photography. Here are a few cheeky teaser photos below!
We also share with you some of our kitchen and cooking hacks and useful tips. We hope you enjoy the book as much as we have enjoyed putting it together. Here’s to the days we can once more enjoy some tasty tucker, drinks, conversations and laughs with our loved ones. A percentage of each book we sell will be given to Leeds South & East Foodbank. We are aiming to ship books out during the last week of May 2021.
